A reflection of the rich diversity Miami has to offer, Miami Beach is turning up the heat this summer with a collection of events and experiences that is sure to wow visitors and residents. Peggy Benua, Chairwoman of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) stated, “As we look to the summer ahead, Miami Beach will continue to offer a variety of must-visit experiences that fuse film, fashion, art and music together, including the continuation of the 20th edition of Paraiso SWIM Week through early June.”
Some summer highlights happening this season in Miami include the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival which will be happening from June 10 through July 28, 2024. The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival is now in its 11th year, and brings together young artists from over 25 different countries to perform public concerts in Magic City venues throughout Miami Beach, including Lummus Park, Ocean Drive, and Lincoln Road. Visitors can submerge themselves in Miami culture and thrive among the creative talent at this music festival.
Further celebrating diversity, Miami Beach will be the host of the American Black Film Festival. Returning for its 28th year, the American Black Film Festival is a dedication to Black talent, showcasing quality film and television content by and about individuals of African descent. This empowering celebration will run from June 12 to June 16, 2024, and will include screenings, engaging talk events, exclusive parties, and networking opportunities. A virtual segment on Miami Beach will extend this rich event, running from June 17 to June 24, 2024, and the experience will also be offered across the globe.
Known as a colorful month, Miami Beach plans to recognize and support National Pride Month this summer with a number of planned specialty events including an Out Pro Pop- Up networking social for LGBTQ+ professionals at the Kimpton Palomar South Beach on June 20, 2024.
