For Arman Gevorgyan, the founder of Designs by Arman, interior design isn’t about filling rooms; it’s about creating moments.

“I shape experiences through space,” he says, effortlessly redefining what it means to be an interior designer today. His work is driven by emotion, movement, and identity, transforming interiors into environments that don’t just look beautiful but feel alive.
The turning point in his journey came when he realized something most people overlook: spaces influence how we think, behave, and connect. From that moment on, design stopped being a profession and became a purpose.
Standing Out in a City That Never Slows Down
Los Angeles is a city overflowing with talent, trends, and constant reinvention. Breaking through requires clarity and confidence, and Arman built his name by choosing authenticity over noise. “Discipline, patience, and consistency,” he says, were key. Instead of chasing what was popular, he focused on creating spaces that felt real and lasting.
That approach led to meaningful recognition, including the Komitas Design Award, received in London, a city he associates with creative clarity and calm. “London gives me peace in my mind,” he shares. “Being recognized there was incredibly special.”
Alongside the Komitas Design Award, Arman’s vision has earned international recognition at the Titan Awards, where he became a Gold Winner for Luxury Retail Interior Design for his butchery concept in Los Angeles. The project was recognized for transforming a highly technical retail environment into a refined, immersive destination, one that blends architectural confidence with emotional storytelling. The award marks a defining moment in his career, positioning the project as a standout example of contemporary luxury interior design.
But awards, he insists, don’t change how he works. They simply confirm that staying true to his process was the right decision.
Bold Spaces with Purpose
What sets Arman’s interiors apart is intention. His spaces carry a signature “wow factor,” even when working within tight square footage. “A small apartment can still make a bold statement,” he says, and his portfolio proves it.
His design process starts with listening. By understanding how clients live, he translates their lifestyle into environments that feel natural, not staged. The result is spaces that enhance everyday life while making a strong visual impression.
Ask him whether design can influence behavior, and his answer is immediate: “Absolutely. Space affects mood, clarity, and behavior.”
Designing for Real Life, Not Trends
When stepping into a new project, Arman pays attention to energy, proportions, and natural light, the foundations that determine how a space will ultimately feel. One of the biggest mistakes people make, he notes, is designing for trends instead of functionality.
A project isn’t finished when everything is perfectly styled; it’s finished when the space feels effortless. “Nothing should feel forced,” he explains. “That’s when design truly works.”
Looking Ahead
As his career evolves, Arman’s focus has shifted toward clarity and restraint. Today, he’s drawn to timeless design, sustainability, and spaces that offer emotional value not just visual appeal.
And when asked how he wants to be remembered, his answer reflects the heart of his work: creating bold, thoughtful interiors that leave a lasting emotional impression. In a world full of fast design and fleeting trends, Arman Gevorgyan is building some deeper spaces that speak, breathe, and stay with you.
