There’s something effortlessly magnetic about Julia Filippo. She’s the kind of creator who can light up a room—or a screen—with her humor, color, and contagious energy. What started as a spontaneous moment on a friend’s podcast quickly turned into a full-blown career that’s taken her from content houses to catwalks in New York, Milan, and Paris. Now, with a growing global audience and an undeniable sense of style, Julia is proving that authenticity never goes out of fashion. “I honestly started without really knowing what I was doing on the internet,” Julia laughs. “One of my friends invited me onto her podcast, and that’s how I got my first glimpse into this world.” That first step into content creation became the spark that set everything in motion. “People started tagging me in videos even before I was really posting,” she says. “They’d say things like, ‘Do this trend!’ or ‘We love you!’ It made me realize people connected with my personality—so I decided to bring that energy to life and give them more of it.”
Before the millions of views and collaborations, her life was far more grounded. “I was working as a server, mostly at Top Golf,” she recalls. “Then one of my friends, who was already an influencer, asked me to be her assistant. I started helping with her content every day, and eventually I’d appear in her videos too.” That behind-the-scenes experience opened her eyes to what was possible. “It gave me a front-row seat to the influencer world,” she says. “It showed me that it was something I could really do myself.”
The Bop House became a defining chapter in her journey. “In the beginning, we were all a little shy because none of us had worked together before,” she says. “But as the group started growing, we were together nonstop waking up, filming, eating, and brainstorming as a team. We built genuine friendships through that.” Though everyone has since moved onto their own paths, she looks back on that time with gratitude. “We worked incredibly hard, supported each other, and created something special.” As someone who’s navigated the ever-changing world of social media, she’s learned the importance of staying true to herself. “My brand has always been very friendly, bubbly, and carefree,” she explains. “Even when a trend doesn’t totally fit my vibe, I find ways to make it mine—by bringing more energy, color, or personality into it.”
With the help of her manager, she strategically turns viral trends into moments that still feel personal. “He’s incredible at seeing things from both a creative and business perspective,” she says. “I’m definitely the face and the energy, but there’s a great team effort behind everything we do.” Transitioning from posting for fun to treating content creation as a full-time career came with its own lessons. “The biggest challenge was realizing that this isn’t just fun—it’s a real business,” she says. “I had to learn to be more intentional about what I post, how I partner with brands, and how I manage my time. It’s about protecting your image and knowing your worth.”
With appearances at New York, Milan, and Paris Fashion Week, fashion has become a natural extension of her creative expression. “I think it’s beautiful how much work and creativity go into it,” she shares. “I love using my platform to experiment with looks that feel elevated and
expressive—it’s helped me reach new audiences and made me feel more professional.” Looking ahead, she hopes to merge her love of fashion with her growing digital influence. “I’d love to dive even deeper into fashion and attend even bigger shows,” she says. “It’s something I’m really passionate about.” Life as a content creator comes with constant pressure—both online and off. “That’s honestly one of the hardest parts of this industry,” she admits. “When your life becomes your work, it’s really easy to lose balance. I try to make time to unplug—go to dinner with friends, put my phone away, and just be present. It’s not always easy, but it’s so important for my mental health.” Her philosophy for peace is simple: “I’ve learned not to read the comment section. Words can really hurt. I stick to posting what feels authentic and avoid anything that doesn’t serve me.” For all the filters and curated moments, Julia’s candid about what fans don’t always see. “The internet isn’t always reality,” she says. “A lot of what people see is curated—it’s not fake, but it’s a version of me that’s created for content. Off-camera, I’m still a real person with feelings, routines, and a totally different side of life that people don’t always get to see.”
“I just want people to feel happy when they see my content,” she says. “I want them to know life can be fun and that things will work out. If I can inspire someone to go after what they want or make their day a little brighter, that means everything to me.” And as she looks toward the future, she’s already planning her next big move. “I definitely want to expand beyond social media,” she reveals. “I’ve been thinking about launching my own clothing line or merch that really represents my style. Fashion is something I see as my next chapter—it’s creative, expressive, and I feel like it’s where I’m meant to grow next.” From spontaneous podcast guest to digital powerhouse, Julia has turned charisma into a career—and she’s only getting started. With her unique blend of humor, warmth, and style, she continues to redefine what it means to be an influencer in today’s fast-paced creative landscape. Her story proves that sometimes, the best moments are the ones that happen when you stop trying to plan—and just start being yourself.
