Fans of the beloved Beverly Hills Cafe in Miami Lakes have reason to rejoice, as a former employee, Hilary Fayth, is set to bring back the legendary restaurant through the opening of its sister restaurant in Hialeah. She says she is determined to continue the Beverly Hills Cafe legacy for the community she loves.
Beverly Hills Cafe served the Miami Lakes community lunch and dinner for 43 years. It served delicious, loaded salads with a host of toppings, mouth-watering cheeseburgers, hot soups, and sweet rolls that always came fresh out of the oven, perfectly fluffed.
During the height of its popularity, this restaurant had ten locations across Florida, including in South Miami, Boca Raton, and Cooper City. Customers seeking a healthy lunch with homemade salad dressings or escape into a reliable and friendly place would head to the Miami Lakes restaurant, where Miami Lakers also turned to fuel up.
Yet, the impact of the global pandemic in 2020 hit the restaurant hard, leading to the closure of its Cooper City location. By July 2022, after four decades in business, Beverly Hills Cafe officially closed its doors in Miami Lakes—and the community was devastated.
That month, the restaurant left a note on its front doors at the Cypress Village Shopping Center, reading, “The team at the Beverly Hills Café is sad to inform you that we are permanently closed. After 43 years in business, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing customers and staff for supporting us through the years.”
Now, after exactly two years since the former South Florida legend closed up shop, longtime employee Fayth, who worked at the Beverly Hills Cafe for 21 years, is determined to bring back the cafe’s magic to Miami with the opening of Hills Cafe in Hialeah.
News of Hills Cafe’s impending opening flooded social media, quickly going viral after Hialeah Social shared the news on its Instagram account on Wednesday, July 19. Fans of Beverly Hills Cafe quickly headed to the comments of the restaurant’s new Instagram account, @HillsCafe_Miami, to share their excitement. One commenter wrote, “I am so happy and excited! Many blessings!” while another former customer stated, “Oh my God! I cannot wait! Yay! I have a feeling this will be packed!” But the joyous frenzy continued, with another fan commenting, “Yes! I can’t wait. I miss the rolls and food so much! This place was a staple since high school.”
Another former employee of the Beverly Hills Cafe, Vivian Michelle Delucca, posted on Instagram her heartfelt enthusiasm for Fayth, stating, “If you were a regular at Beverly Hills Café, then you definitely knew Hillary! Her contagious smile was hard to miss and harder to say goodbye to as the café closed down! But those who love her dearly had all the faith in her as her middle name! (No pun intended. Her middle name is Fayth.) We knew she would someday open up her own café, and here it is! Hills Cafe Miami. I’m so proud of you, my friend. You are such a good-hearted human being, so hard-working, and such an amazing mother. God couldn’t leave you in the dark. You are going to shine like the brightest star in the sky. I love you!”
According to the new cafe’s Instagram, Hills Cafe has been in development since March 2023. Fayth will open Hills Cafe at 7380 W. 20 Ave. in Hialeah sometime in 2024. Fans can expect new menu items and familiar favorites inspired by the Beverly Hills Cafe.
