With the 2026 mid-term elections soon approaching, anti-establishment Republican candidate Michael Carbonara is running for Florida’s 25th district on a clearly defined platform of prioritizing outcomes over optics. His campaign aims to oust the inefficient bureaucracy and partisanship rife within Washington, replacing these outdated systems with data-driven policies that serve the ordinary person.

Defying Career Politics

Unlike many politicians in Washington today, including 30-year incumbent Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Michael’s career did not start with politics. The government reform candidate instead built his livelihood on serial entrepreneurship, founding companies in highly regulated industries like cryptocurrency and banking.

As the son of a Cuban immigrant who sought a better life in the US, Michael has firsthand experience with a work ethic that values personal responsibility and continual development. This ethic comes across in his platform through his dedication to innovation in government, a quality he believes is vital for Washington to adopt if the country is to improve economically. For Michael, growth relies more on anticipating long-term trends than capitalizing on short-term profits.

A Return to Common Sense

By definition, Congress is ultimately an organization of representatives elected by the people to serve the people. Michael argues that, for some in Washington, Congress serves partisan ideology instead, furthering ideals that do not support those that America was founded on.

Results matter, which is why Michael promises to be a strong leader who delivers tangible outcomes that matter to working people. As a political business leader, his bold, direct leadership style allows voters to challenge the stagnating status quo, uprooting politics to provide a strong, predictable economy willing to embrace technological progress and become a beacon of innovation again.

These plans will require strong cooperation and teamwork, however, which is why one of Michael’s long-term goals after gaining a seat in Congress is to work with like-minded representatives, both young and experienced, to implement the policies required to reinforce the freedom to build a life for oneself and follow the American dream unimpeded.

Building for the Next Generation

Above all else, Michael is a family man seeking to build a better life for families like his in South Florida and, eventually, the entire country.

Although he plans to engage in politics to serve others, he does so not to enrich himself or the political elite but to improve the American people’s lives by empowering small businesses and creating opportunities for growth and development.

Michael envisions an America with reduced taxes, secure neighborhoods, and an accountable government devoted to rebuilding trust for the American people. His experience improving financial technology proves he is a leader capable of transferring money securely and fairly across the globe, a skillset America needs if it is to prosper in the long term.

“I’m not running to be part of Washington, I’m running to change it,” Michael Carbonara states. “We need fewer insiders and more builders who know how to fix what’s broken and make systems work for people again.”
