Adam Young had waited years to make music. When his girlfriend asked him to write and produce a song for her, he had the perfect excuse to start. One song turned thirteen and Another Life was born.

Miami-based producer signed Another Life, his first album, available via Artificial Yntelligence, LLC. Released on August 15, 2026, the set is predominantly melodic dubstep with a touch of house, produced by the creator himself. Aleesia appears on “Twisted Fate,” the track that began the project, and Alaina Cross sings on “When I Dream.”

“What was supposed to be a single somehow turned into an entire album. It was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done,” Adam says on his website.

For an audience unfamiliar with Young’s endeavors, this project is both a welcome revelation and a brief biography of a young man who had been passionate about electronic music for years, but only discovered his ability to produce it and make a full-length recording about the same time.

From Listening to Producing

Adam Young returned to the scene from a long hiatus in 2023, when he saw ODESZA live for the first time in over ten years. The concert was a profound experience for him. In 2024, watching Ultra from his Miami apartment prompted him to go to Las Vegas and check out EDC, where he started dancing for the first time. He quickly became an icon at Miami’s Club Space. This was the beginning of his return to the electronic music community.

That passion for music has contributed to the making of Another Life. He had actually been thinking about producing music for quite some time prior to this particular project, but his girlfriend’s request to write her a song prompted him to actually do something about it.

“She asked me to write a song for her and I went back to a poem I had written for her about being apart for a long period of time,” he comments. “A lot of that ended up being the chorus for the track. “I loved making it so much, I just couldn’t stop.”

A First Full-Length Album

Another Life is right around 50 minutes long, starting with “Another Life” and finishing with “Back In Time.” “Twisted Fate,” “Unreachable,” “My Heart Bleeds Red,” and “Avalanche” were the first singles, released before the album throughout June and July. Aleesia and Alaina Cross, are featured on the album, along with Adam for writing and producing all 13 tracks.

Adam has created this body of work by reflecting on the period of his life spent in heart-wrenching break-up following the end of a long relationship. “Every part of me went into this album, everything that happened to me throughout the process went into it. The break-up, the pain, the sadness, the hurt, the heartbreak, and finding the girl that finally showed me what it is like to feel loved,” Young says. “It is literally a piece of my soul.”

There is nothing vague or metaphorical about the lyrics to this album, which have been shared online alongside the publication of Another Life. Young talks about the hurt and suffering the end of his engagement caused him, the anger and pain from his former partner not growing with him, and the relief of finally finding someone who is capable of loving like he does. Songs talk about love and heartbreak, pain and longing, the inability to move on, finding a way to live with loss, and finding love again.

“I just love how this album turned out. I put everything I felt into it, and it all came together in such a beautiful way,” he comments. “It’s really important for me to be able to share this with people so they know they’re not alone.”

As for the meaning behind the lyrics, Young is quick to state what it is not, and what it is:

“I never lost faith in love, not ever. I never will. It’s something I truly believe in.”

Miami Is A Special Place

“I love being a part of the community. I love seeing all those people, knowing that everyone there is having the same experience,” reads on Young’s website. “Something about being surrounded by thousands of people who are all feeling something in sync under one sky is just magical to me.”

Perhaps the goal of Another Life is similar to that “feeling something in sync under one sky” experience. But on a smaller scale. For one, a single listener who might have needed it most.

The album is available on Spotify and Apple Music. For local fans, Another Life serves as a reminder that Miami supports local artists has a robust electronic music scene that supports new producers.
